Ladies and gentlemen, this is Usagi No.5! The new car has received a new livery that was created from Panic Motorsports themselves and they did and amazing job with it. I love seeing it on track in the pictures and I love just walking around it. It’s a beautiful looking car and I thank Panic for making it look amazing as it is a nod to the P-51 Mustang that was used by the 332nd Tuskegee Airmen in World War 2. It’s an honor to run the livery due to long line of military involvement in my family. With that being said, big thank to Panic for making our new car look great and for their support this weekend.
The race weekend itself was a lot of fun, the challenge was getting back up to speed at VIR and get used to the new car’s handling. The racing was very good with close fighting to the end and no damage or dangerous driving. It’s always good to see that with the level of competition we had this past weekend as there were some notable names that were in Spec-Miata this weekend.
I want to give a quick shoutout to Laurin Brallier for an outstanding performance this weekend. We finally got to battle each other for the first time in the enduro on Saturday and I have a lot of fun running with her. The same goes for Joe Tobin who I’ve always been battling with for a long time, John Hotz who I nothing but respect for, and Skyler Cottrell as I finally got a chance to go against him on Sunday and we had a very close finish as well.
Very glad that we had a chance to run Usagi-V with the new livery. I will be doing two more races this month. I’ll be returning to where it all started back to Atlanta Motorsports Park for a Lucky Dog Endurance race with Trinity Motorsports and then it is back in Usagi for Carolina Motorsports Park for the Southeast Majors.
Take care everyone!
